The Evil Eye: Why Black Women Will Never Accept Black Men Dating White Women by Bel Esprit

In this article featuring quotes from Kim Kardashian and Julie Henderson, Livesteez delves deeper into the angst that Black women have towards interracial dating.

Ladies, you know the drill. You’re walking out of your local grocery store, calm and collected, when you glance over to see a fine chocolate man. You instinctively begin to smile before you spot the little vanilla woman on his arm. Your joyous smile involuntarily turns into a raised eyebrow and squinted eye combo. You didn’t mean to do it on purpose, but there’s something internally that just made you feel like ‘Why is this white woman with my man.” The reality is that he’s not your man. He’s a stranger walking down the street. You have absolutely no idea how they met and what common interests they share. In fact, if she was Black, you probably wouldn’t have even noticed. So, what is the deep underlying issue that the majority of Black women have with seeing “their” men with White women?

“I personally feel like Black men don’t have my back as a Black woman. I’m unsure of my real value in their lives because there is just not enough support felt in families, businesses and communities as a whole. Honestly, sometimes when I see a Black man with a White woman, it further reinforces my idea that I am not good enough. I think it musters up a subconscious anger in a lot of Black women that we don’t even mean to exemplify.” –  Sharon, 27

Let’s check the staggering statistics on interracial dating:

African-American and White relationships
When African-Americans and Whites marry, there is 2.65 times more likely to be an African-American husband and a white wife. In fact, 73 percent of all African-American and White marriages have this setu

Asian and White relationships
When Asians and Whites marry, the situation is nearly reversed. In these marriages, it is 3.08 times more likely for the husband to be White and the wife to be Asian.

African-American and Asian relationships
These marriages are still fairly rare. When these couples do marry, it’s 6.15 times more likely that the husband will be African-American and the wife Asian.

Hispanic Relationships
When Hispanic men and women decide to marry someone of a different race, the difference between men and women is nearly equal. Eighteen percent of Hispanic wives are married to a non-Hispanic man. On the flip side, 15 percent of Hispanic men have a non-Hispanic wife.

In marriages involving Hispanics and Whites, it is 1.17 times more likely that the wife is Hispanic and the husband is White than the other way around.

Within the African-American culture, men are practically running in leaps and bounds to marry other ethnicities. Another interesting fact is that whereas in White, Hispanic and  Asian cultures, the women are the folks who date outside of their race, but in the African-American, it is typically only the males. You should also notice that while other cultures are hooking up with each other, African American women tend be left out of most dating .marriage equations. They are not necessarily seen as a catch to men of other ethnicities. Could this be a factor in analyzing the anger that results in seeing Black men in interracial relationships? Absolutely.

Livesteez asked Kim Kardashian, current girlfriend of New Orleans Saints, Reggie Bush, if she feels animosity from Black women concerning her relationship. She replied, “Not at all, it’s never been an issue. I don’t think a particular race would dislike me for dating someone of a different race than myself.”  Kim decided to take the higher road although she’s received less than polite commentary from the African American audience.  Julie Henderson, current girlfriend of Russell Simmons, recently blasted Black women on her Global Grind blog citing, ” I have been spending “special time” with Russell for about 4 months and in that time I have learned some subtle things about some in the black community that have surprised me. …I have to say the angry responses to those realities are sometimes misdirected….Just for the record, I am nobody’s white b*tch, gold digger or fame chaser,” referring to the overwhelmingly large amount of hateful comments she’s received on various African-American blogs and news sites.

White women do a have a reason to be mad. Most Black women will say that they don’t necessarily have a problem with Black men dating Hispanic or even Asian women, but White women are a problem.

“White woman are revered around the world for being the pinnacle of womanhood, and I guess the historical connotation is infuriating – the fact that a lot of our men were killed in the past for just being near a white woman. So, now to see Black men actively denying Black women and seeking to date White women is a slap in the face. I believe that you can’t control love, but in a lot of these instances Black men are pursing these women over us, which hurts.” – Lisa, 30

Whether it’s a historical reference or predisposed feeling, this is one idea that’s deeply rooted within Black women and doesn’t seem to be making any headway what-so-ever. In fact, with the disparaging reports on the ever-growing amount of successful but single Black women, we predict that tensions will continue to rise.

  1. Firstly, consider William Lynches conspiracy speech on the breaking process of Black Women

“We have reversed the relationship; in her natural uncivilized state, she would have a strong dependency on the uncivilized Black male, and she would have a limited protective tendency toward her independent male offspring and would raise male offspring to be dependent like her.”

What has been constantly taught to black women is this

“Nature had provided for this type of balance. We reversed nature by burning and pulling a civilized black male apart and bullwhipping the other to the point of death, all in her presence. By her being left alone, unprotected, with the MALE IMAGE DESTROYED, the ordeal caused her to move from her psychologically dependent state to a frozen, independent state. In this frozen, psychological state of independence, she will raise her MALE and female offspring in reversed roles. For FEAR of the young male’s life, she will psychologically train him to be MENTALLY WEAK and DEPENDENT, but PHYSICALLY STRONG. Because she has become psychologically independent, she will train her FEMALE offspring to be psychologically independent. What have you got? You’ve got the Black WOMAN OUT FRONT AND THE Black MAN BEHIND AND SCARED ”

Our Black women are always telling us that we’re not good enough.. in there songs, in there speech, in there attitudes, in there looks,in there request for us to fulfill some mostly selfish whim .

  2. Let me also add, that I personally love Black Women. But that in know way means to advocate
my content with there lack of understanding. The understanding of these deeply rooted issues that undermine the overall state of black union mainly between a black man and a black women. Take into evidence exhibit A: *Replaced the original demeaning “N” word with “Black” to keep offense out.

We breed two Black males with two Black females. Then, we take the Black male away from them and keep them moving and working. Say one Black female bears a Black female and the other bears a Black male; both Black females—being without influence of the Black male image, frozen with a independent psychology—will raise their offspring into reverse positions. The one with the female offspring will teach her to be like herself, independent and negotiable (we negotiate with her, through her, by her, negotiates her at will). The one with the Black male offspring, she being frozen subconscious fear for his life, will raise him to be mentally dependent and weak, but physically strong; in other words, body over mind. Now, in a few years when these two offspring become fertile for early reproduction, we will mate and breed them and continue the cycle. That is good, sound and long range comprehensive planning.”
In essence the slave master was taught to breed fear into the slaves through the use of these cruel methods, to wipe out the natural relationships that fostered family health especially between a black man and a black women.

It is understandable why our Black women hate to see us with white women, but they also need to understand there role in this recurring cycle.
